Description
The VentraBox VB-1000 delivers 900–1,100 CFM of evenly distributed capture airflow in a spacious, enclosed workspace — purpose-built for grinding, welding, and high-volume machining operations where fumes, smoke, and non-combustible dust particles must be kept out of the operator’s breathing zone. Built from 16 & 22 gauge powder-coated steel, it is the mid-tier workhorse of the VentraBox series.
Ideal Applications
- Large-part CNC machining – Accommodates multiple or oversized machined parts that exceed the work area of the VB-400, with spacious enclosed walls to contain blow-off.
- Grinding operations – Captures fine dust, mist, and swarf generated during surface, cylindrical, and centerless grinding of large components.
- Welding & fabrication – Contains fumes and smoke produced during MIG, TIG, and arc welding of larger structural parts.
- Parts inspection stations – Blow off residual fluid before CMM, vision system, or manual inspection without misting the measurement area.
- High-throughput production – Handles multiple parts at once, making it well suited to production lines with continuous or frequent blow-off cycles.
- Commercial food production – Removes fluid and debris from food-contact components and equipment parts in hygiene-critical environments.
- Aerospace & heavy industry – Suitable for larger aerospace components and heavy industrial parts where size, volume, and fume control are all critical.
- Tool & die / mould making – Provides a contained cleaning station for large dies, moulds, and fixtures before inspection or assembly.
Options and Configurations
- Spacious enclosed workspace – Partially enclosed walls contain mist and particulate during blow-off, filtering everything down through the bottom of the work area.
- Rhino Board surface – Composite work surface with smooth finish for durability and installation ease. Strategically perforated for optimal drainage efficiency.
- Drainable tray – Beneath the work surface, channels excess liquids and particulate out to a sump or waste container of your choice.
- Heavy-duty casters – Wheels allow the VB-1000 to be repositioned anywhere in the facility, adapting to fixed or flexible shop layouts.
- Odor-Rid filter kit – Carbon-based 4th stage option for operations generating strong odours from synthetic coolants or cutting fluids.
